Representative AI images; not actual stock or dimensional drawings.
Forged fittings need a connection-specific enquiry. A threaded coupling and a socket-weld coupling can share a nominal pipe size but use different end geometry, installation methods and class designations. Keep these offers separate from butt-weld fittings.
Select SS316 fittings, SS316L fittings, elbows, tees, reducers or forged couplings.
Socket-weld versus threaded classes
ASME B16.11 identifies Classes 2000, 3000 and 6000 for threaded fittings, and 3000, 6000 and 9000 for socket-weld fittings. The class number is not a universal working pressure in psi. Confirm applicable size/type tables and the service design basis. A socket-weld Class 9000 keyword must not generate a threaded Class 9000 B16.11 product claim.
Connection and material information
For stainless forgings, specify the ordered material designation such as ASTM A182 F316 or F316L, rather than assuming that an A403 WP316 butt-weld designation applies. State full or half coupling, equal or reducing bore, nominal size, threaded or socket end and applicable dimensional standard. Specify the thread standard and form; NPT, BSPT and BSPP are not interchangeable descriptions.
Inspection and procurement
For a threaded order, agree thread-gauge checks, engagement requirements and protection for shipment. For socket-weld ends, agree bore and socket-depth checks against the order. Confirm heat traceability, material records, visual condition, dimensions, marking and any project-specific testing. Unions, branch outlets and special components may invoke separate standards; do not silently treat every forged item as B16.11.
Manufacturer, OEM and factory-price enquiries
A factory-price comparison is meaningful only when material, construction, dimensions, inspection and delivery terms match. State whether you need a manufacturer-produced batch, a stockist-held lot or an OEM drawing-based order. ISS does not claim ownership of a manufacturing factory. Identify the actual maker, production location and any subcontracted forming, machining, heat treatment or testing before approval. Separate product cost, agreed inspection, packing, freight and applicable charges in the quotation. Custom marking or packaging needs an agreed drawing and authorization; it does not establish product certification.
Send a line list through our existing RFQ form with quantity, required date, delivery destination and named Incoterm. ISS supplies through a sourcing-led model, with supplier qualification, inspection coordination and export documentation agreed for the order. Availability and lead time are confirmed against the actual requirement.
