Why Pre-Shipment Inspection Is Non-Negotiable

How India Supply Solutions uses inspection as a shipment gate rather than an optional service.

Inspection starts with acceptance criteria

A checklist is only meaningful when the buyer-approved specification is clear.

The scope changes by product

Rice may require sampling and laboratory checks. Engineering products may require dimensions, material verification, NDT or functional testing. Textiles may require fabric, dimensions, shade and workmanship checks.

Material mismatch stops the process

A significant mismatch is escalated for correction, replacement or buyer approval. It is not silently passed to protect a shipping date.

Re-inspection follows correction

Corrective action does not automatically close a finding. The relevant characteristic should be re-verified before release.

Inspection reduces risk, not reality

No inspection can guarantee that international trade has zero risk. The goal is to identify material non-conformity before goods leave the supplier.

Important: Product, regulatory, quality and commercial requirements must be confirmed for the specific transaction. This guide is general information, not a substitute for transaction-specific verification.
