Source SS 316L Flange to specification
Build a supplier-comparable enquiry by defining type, nominal size, pressure class, facing, drilling standard, dimensions, heat treatment and marking, material designation, governing standard and edition, quantity, destination, acceptance criteria and required certification.
RFQ definition: type, nominal size, pressure class, facing, drilling standard, dimensions, heat treatment and marking.
Typical family applications: process equipment, food and beverage, chemical service, heat-resistant service, fabrication and general corrosion-resistant engineering. Suitability remains the buyer's engineering decision.
SS 316L Flange sizes and dimensions to specify
Useful enquiry selectors—not an inventory or universal availability claim. Exact manufacturability is confirmed against grade, standard, route, tolerance and quantity.
Common systems include ASME B16.5, ASME B16.47 or an EN / DIN / JIS dimensional standard; the governing edition must be stated.
Range guide: Common RFQ guide: NPS 1/2 to 24 under B16.5 and NPS 26 to 60 under B16.47, where the selected material and manufacturer are capable.
| Type | Weld neck / slip-on / blind / socket weld / threaded / lap joint |
|---|---|
| Facing | RF / FF / RTJ or buyer-specified facing finish |
| Drilling | ASME class or EN PN system; never infer one from nominal size alone |

How we compare SS 316L Flange manufacturers
Grade designation, heat traceability and required certification are matched to the RFQ.
Route, size range, tolerances, heat treatment and form-specific capability are checked.
Dimensional, visual, PMI / chemistry, mechanical or NDT controls are defined where applicable.
MTC, inspection records, packing and export documents are aligned before dispatch.
No material grade, route, standard or dimension substitution without written buyer approval.
Supplier offers are compared on the same technical basis before commercial selection.
SS 316L Flange sourcing questions
How do I source SS 316L Flange from India?
Send the exact material designation, product standard, type, nominal size, pressure class, facing, drilling standard, dimensions, heat treatment and marking, quantity, destination and required inspection. India Supply Solutions then identifies and compares suitable Indian manufacturers or suppliers.
How do I compare the qualified SS 316L Flange manufacturers in India?
Compare actual capability for the named grade and form, applicable standard, traceability, test documentation, delivery record, inspection readiness and commercial transparency—not only the lowest quoted price.
Can you quote SS 316L Flange price in India?
Yes, after grade, standard, dimensions, quantity, packing and delivery basis are defined. We do not publish a fabricated fixed price for specification-sensitive metal products.
What documents should be requested for SS 316L Flange?
Depending on the requirement, buyers may request MTC / heat traceability, inspection records, PMI or chemistry verification, mechanical tests, NDT and packing / export documents.

SS316L flanges for specification-led welded projects
For an SS316L forged flange RFQ, name ASTM A182 F316L or your project-approved forging specification. SS316L is a low-carbon stainless steel designation. It is not a promise of suitability for every chemical, chloride exposure or operating temperature. The buyer's engineering specification must define the service conditions and acceptance criteria.
Protect the low-carbon requirement
Check that the material certificate identifies the ordered grade, heat and applicable test results. Where carbon verification is needed, agree a suitable test method and acceptance basis before inspection. A generic “PMI passed” statement alone does not describe which elements or grade requirements were checked. Review the finished item's heat traceability through forging, machining, heat treatment and marking.
SS316 / F316 and F316L should not be substituted solely because they look the same. Dual-certified 316/316L material is acceptable only when its records and test results meet both required grade specifications and the buyer approves that basis. EN 1.4404 enquiries need the relevant EN product standard and certification requirements; the material number alone does not establish complete equivalence.
Specify the weld connection and mating joint
For a weld-neck flange, provide matching pipe schedule or finished bore, weld-end details and any project tolerance requirements. For slip-on, socket-weld, threaded or lap-joint arrangements, specify the selected connection and mating components rather than reusing a weld-neck drawing. Agree the flange facing, gasket basis, bolt pattern and surface finish for the complete joint.
Nominal sizes and pressure designations
ASME B16.5 covers NPS 1/2 through 24 for Classes 150, 300, 400, 600, 900 and 1500. Its Class 2500 range stops at NPS 12. Type-specific tables and restrictions still apply. For large-diameter work, specify ASME B16.47 and Series A or B explicitly. A size range is a standard scope, not an ISS stock list.
EN 1092-1 PN flanges, IS 6392 steel pipe flanges and JIS B2220 enquiries require their own dimensional basis. Do not convert a Class designation to PN or assume matching bolt holes from DN/NPS alone. Pressure capability depends on the material and design temperature as well as the rating designation.
Separate material records from finished-item inspection
A material certificate supports material identity and the stated test results. Dimensional inspection still needs to cover the ordered flange standard, bolt circle, hole pattern, thickness, hub, bore where applicable and facing. Agree inspection reports, marking photographs, face protection and packing requirements before dispatch. Any project-required third-party witness, corrosion test or certification needs explicit supplier confirmation.
Pricing, stock and delivery
For a useful price comparison, ask each supplier to quote the same grade, flange type, standard edition, rating, bore, face finish, certificate and inspection scope. Separate product price from testing, packing, inspection and agreed delivery costs. Stock availability, heat identity, quantity and dispatch timing must be confirmed against the actual lot before order acceptance. ISS coordinates sourcing, supplier verification, inspection and export requirements; it is not the flange manufacturer.
For mixed SS316L flange schedules, separate each size, type, rating and quantity on its own line. State whether split delivery is acceptable and identify any approved manufacturer list. This allows comparable offers and exposes substitutions before the order is placed.
